I had been waiting to meet this little guy for months! His mama was the winner of my contest back in December, and she wanted to save her session until after baby A was born. So I had months to wait until I could meet him! He was well worth waiting for. Look at that sweet face! And I just love his perfect, pouty lips.
He resisted falling asleep at first, and until he was really out, he didn’t want his arms moved at all! And he’s so strong! But we won (of course we did!) the waiting game and soon he was fast asleep. That was well worth waiting for as well.
He was so cute all cuddled up with his mama and daddy. And their happiness is pretty easy to see. Look at that beautiful smile on Mom!
Mikale’s birthday party was last weekend. I was in charge of getting his cake from my friend Heather and transporting it to the party. Eep! So much pressure! I was all worried that it would slide around in the trunk and something would smush something. Or something. I don’t know! I just didn’t want to mess up the cake. Especially since it was so cool!
Mikale is really in to Back to the Future and so our mother had a Flux Capacitor cake made for him. And it turned out really well! So neat looking!
I drove as carefully as a person can. I was still nervous because you never know what to expect with the roads in the spring. They tend to be at their bumpiest this time of year. So I was really glad that the Cruze is so smooth. Bud I’d hardly know I was driving on spring roads. Woo hoo! That, combined with my extra careful driving, meant that the Flux Capacitor cake arrived without any smushing at all. (But note my super nervous voice when I was still a little unsure about how it all went! ha!)
And Mikale loved the cake! Of course. How could he not?? Such a cool idea! We didn’t even want to cut it. But, alas, we could only look at it for so long, as there were lots of children who were much more ready to eat cake than admire it! NOMNOMNOM! 🙂
If you’d like to keep up with the Mid-Michigan Chevy Girls on the Go this month here are some helpful links!
The Girls on the Go campaign is sponsored by my local Chevy dealers (Thanks Chevy dealers!) They are letting me test drive a car for one month and providing me with gift cards and a camera so I can blog and share my fun missions and life’s adventures!
I cannot wait for warm weather to get here! There has been so much snow and so much cold! I’m over it! Done! Sadly, nature doesn’t work on my schedule. So I’m pretty sure I have a while to wait. We have had a few days that have been a little nicer. And some sun that even feels warm! But, of course, those days are mixed in with days full of snow.
These are from last May on a brilliantly sunny day. I was sitting with K for a bit while she splashed around in her pool. Can’t wait until it’s warm enough for this again!
I know I’ve talked about this a little bit on Facebook but I haven’t ever posted to the site here. Birth sessions are now officially among the my offerings, though, and I wanted to let you know a little more about the experience.
I met the D family in Bay City at Wenonah Park. We walked around a bit, stopped for a lollipop, found some interesting building textures, and took advantage of the beautiful golden light. Yay!
I loved this session. It was so hard to narrow down my choices for the blog! So hard! Enjoy!
I always bring my camera to family events. I feel so naked without it! I try to document the day but also keep an eye out for the shots that really make me happy. Like these!
G wanted to have a session with her girls before baby #3 made her entrance. We chose Imerman Memorial Park to be able to get some lovely green scenery, plus some fun for the girls. I’ve really gotten into bringing bubbles to my sessions this summer. L loved blowing them, while M loved popping them. Once we made our way over to the playground, there was running and climbing and playing until the girls nearly had to be dragged from the park. Of course, though! How can you want to leave when there is still so much fun to be had?
We had some unusually warm days in March. I have no complaints. It was wonderful. And it meant that Miss M could do some playing outside while we did her session. She has grown so much since I last took her picture. But she has remained just as adorable!

These three lovely ladies and I spent an afternoon exploring the Castle Museum. The light on the big staircase is beautiful for photographs and I’m always pleased to get to play with it again.
